Georgina Oliver, Pamela Jarman and Valerie Jones, di Coventry, a 14 anni a malapena iniziano la loro carriera incidendo alcuni 45 giri.
Vincendo una gara canora e dividendo 1 pound, che era il premio, decisero di mettere su un gruppo, THE ORCHIDS, che è ora considerato il più genuino girl group d'inghilterra. Nel 1963 il Coventry Standard recensiva il loro secondo singolo "Love Hit Me".
